Be Prepared!

As we all know, this is the motto of Girl Guides around the world. It means many different things - which is why it work great as a motto! But one of the things is means is that we need to fully understand the activities we are doing so we can understand what risks are involved in the activities. And we don't do this to stop doing fun activities - if we never took risks, we would never do anything new! We do this so that we can try to be better prepared in all our activity planning. This challenges us to think critically about our activities so that we can be sure we keep Guiding fun and challenging for all girls.

Safe Guide is what we use when planning exciting activities and opportunities.

Ask your Guider to explain how Safe Guide works - or better ask her if there is a Safe Guide training happening in your area soon! In the meantime, you can see the document and the forms that go with it here on Member Zone. You never know, your Guider might just ask you to put together the SG.1 for your next adventure!
