Dear fellow Girl Guide Members,

During a leadership symposium in Toronto that focused on hunger and poverty, we decided to create an action plan that involves all the girls and Units across Canada. With 90,000 Canadian girls and women, this would be one very strong voice. We want to use the skills and information we learned at this symposium to create awareness and teach girls about these national and provincial issues. We will be using e-mail as a form of communication, along with starting a blog on the national site. Once the issue is chosen, this will be done every second month, we will use the blog to post links and information about our chosen issue. We are hoping that once the girls in your Unit are educated on the chosen issue they will write personal letters or emails to decision makers, so that together we can create change! Please contact us with any questions and feel free to share ideas from your Unit with everyone on the blog.
