We created a drive through by setting up a table in a parking just off the road, having our cookies there and couple girls on the side walk with signs to bring the people in. The customers came into the parking lot, and stop by the table. We go over to their car and ask how many boxes of cookies they would like and tell them how much money it would cost,. They pay us, and we bring them their cookies. We usually have 2-3 girls participating, usually older girls talking to the customer and taking money and maybe a Spark or Brownie helping with the cookies, also a leader to watch the girls. The customers think it's great and find it very convenient to be able to get their favorite Girl Guide cookies without having to stay home all day and wait for them! Also coming from a town with less than 4,000 people and a small Girl Guiding unit with only about 60-70 girls for the whole town and surrounding towns we find it very hard to make it to all the houses. We also have small towns 5-10 minutes drive from the community that love Girl Guide cookies but are so small they cannot have their own unit so they end up missing out on getting girl guide cookies. The girls also love it! They feel like they are working at Tim Hortons and have so much fun working with their friends and feeling good to be a part of a team.
