Girls for Safer Communities
Have you heard of the great new program to help you increase awareness about safety concerns of girls and women while mobilizing girls to become leaders in their communities?
Through the Girls for Safer Communities program, Pathfinders and Rangers receive leadership and safety training through their Guider that prepares them to lead group safety audit walks – with their peers (other Pathfinder/Ranger Units), younger Units or community members – and identify safety concerns in their community. Girls will go on to work with members of the community to make recommendations and create action plans that will improve safety.
If you are interested, visit the GGC website and talk to your Guider!

Welcome to GGC's book club for Pathfinders, Rangers and Trex
Each month, Girl Guides of Canada selects four great books from Harper Collins Canada. And these books have gone through some GGC specific criterial to be part of our approved book list. Since the four books are age-specific, we will be hosting the Pathfinder, Ranger and Trex book category on the Patrol blog. Read our reviews and join the discussion.
If you are looking for books to recommend to the Sparks, Brownies or Guides in your life, visit the GGC main website for great books and discussion questions too. And we have a book category for adults too. Those books can be found on the GGC blog.
So come join in the discussion!
